The Barillaro Research Group develops cutting-edge micro- and nanoscale technologies at the intersection of engineering, electronics, photonics, materials science, and biomedicine. Our research focuses on biosensors, implantable and bioresorbable devices, integrated photonics and electronics, and advanced diagnostic platforms, with the goal of translating fundamental discoveries into transformative solutions for precision medicine, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.
The group is based at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Pisa, Italy.
